Organizational Leadership and Educational Leadership

I am about to venture out into the world outside of the educational system, into a business, a winery! (No, I'm not investing in a winery, but I will be going with a cohort and look at the organizational aspects of businesses.) Using the four frames by Bolman and Deal, as well as many other researchers, we will ask leading, open-ended questions and have a conversation with multiple people within that organization.

Although there are differences within businesses and educational systems, the two have many commonalities: build a community, meet the needs and requests of the community and industries, support personnel development, hire the best, have a vision, meet standards, and be symbolic! I can go on......what I have learned thus far, is that there are structures in all organizations, so what structure does this winery have that is similar to the district in which I work?  Stay tuned!
