First Class with Dr. Faverty and Dr. Deal: Time for Change with Passion!

My take aways that are important to ME as a leader.  A vision: something you work usually really hard to get. But the harder you work, the further it gets away from the core. You have to let it come. Don't make a vision. -Plant the seed and let the vision come and be built within it.  The goal: All staff within are saying and doing the same. It needs to be like a symbol. You must have action to have results.  Or results to have action.

If we had symbols in the schools we would have action. To create a symbol you must have heart and soul. You have to take the risk. If it turns bad if it's real bad it's easier to turn around and create a bond out of it .  When we are emotional we are learning. Our jobs are emotional not rational.   Make the energy in others.  If you don't risk, you don't fail, you don't succeed.  We are emotional beings in a social setting. Can't hold teachers totally accountable for a responsibility that a teacher had no input on how to teach it.  Like the teachers being held accountable in LA and in New York for the curriculum and the tests that are provided to them.  So I, Jackie, want to intrinsically motivate staff to teach differently and for students to be able to use a variety of modalities to take their learning to a higher level.  There is so much out there to use, do and produce.
I am motivated for Change and for the Challenge!!!
